Why do PCs run games better than consoles?

stupid controllers are a lesser way to control games actually.. especially for fps games. mouse & keyboard will pwn anyone with a controller if they are equal players. But of course comps run better if they are high specced.. they always have the latest technology and cost a lot more for high quality hardware. Consoles are made in bulk for fast, cheap gaming.. and still do pretty good for a fraction of the cost. Plus, games on the computer are so much more customizable than on console (i.e. team fortress 2).
