Could I have had a miscarriage?

I took a home pregnancy test priod to leaving for a two week trip to Greece. The test was not positive, but it had a clearly negative line with the positive line barely visible. A few days after I got there, I started bleeding off and on. This continued even after I got home. I had my period the week before my departure, and the bleeding that started once I arrived in Greece continued until I got my next period a month later, then stopped. Could I HAVE been pregnant prior to my leaving the US for two weeks and miscarried my baby while I was overseas?
