What should i do with ipod / blackberry?

today i bought an I pod 3rd gen 32 gb for 70 USD from a friend who used the money at the same time to buy a blackberry, everything is good for me except that he wants it back! because the blackberry is CDMA which has no sim and cant be unlocked * we are in jamaica but the phone is locked into verison and cant use it i really dont want to give it back to him .but i was thinking i would pay him 50 us more and just keep the ipod. i really NEED some help guys so all comments are appreciated
